Sophie from Michigan~

Sophie's first trip to the groomer. Isn't this the saddest little face you've ever seen?

Katie and Sophie from Forty Fort, Pennsylvania~

Hi Sue-

Hope all is well up there in puppy land. Attached are a few pics of my beautiful girlfriends, Katie and Sophie. They are my very best friends. I rush home from work everyday to see my girls. And, of course, they are so happy to see me as though I've been gone for days.

They are two peas in a pod ... Always together yet with distinctly different personalities. Sophie is a little explorer and Katie is my little lap dog.

Today they got special cookies from the pet store. They are quite spoiled.

I'll never forget when I first inquired about the puppies and I had to explain to you why I wanted them. It was like a job interview. I'm so glad you allowed me to be a part of the high calling cocker family.

My cocker, Maggie, who died on March 23 would have loved them too.

Hugs and kisses to you and Jingles and Cubby.

Archie from Fleetwood, Pennsylvania~

Hi Sue,
I just received my newest photos and had to share one of Archie with you. His temperament never fails to delight me! We had him tied on our back porch so that he could watch my hubby in the garden as well as my son mowing the lawn. We got some company and they approached him, without any of us right there, well, he was so happy to see these strangers ( to him they were strangers) he wiggled all over as he waited to be petted. I loved it. I truly do have hopes of Archie being a therapy dog, and his current puppy kindergarten teacher is trained as a therapy dog instructor. Hopefully, we are on the right track.

Archie is the star student at puppy classes, as he demonstrates how to walk on a leash, with his face watching me for instruction, moving as I move. When we practice come when called, he joyfully bounds back and forth between my daughter and me as he hears his name, never any hesitation! Mamma Sue, you would be so proud of him! He had his first full hair cut the other day, it is getting hotter here and the coat on his back was getting thick. I hesitated trimming him, but he looks so handsome now and his coat is even softer! He seems attracted to the bees as they hover around the clover in our yard and would love to investigate in the field behind our house after the farmer has spread his manure! Both of these activities could get him into trouble!! Well, enough for now enjoy the picture and don't forget about the Dog Grooming Expo in Hershey in September!
God Bless you Sue, with puppy kisses from Archie,
Kathy

Piper from Victor, New York~

Dear, dear Sue,

Please forgive my being out of touch for so long -- not what I had intended, but I have been busier than I have wanted to be and it just seems "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get"!

Piper and her Jesse, her sister, graduated from puppy kindergarten -- no formal ceremony but they have nice certificates. I've attached a photo that my sister took of Piper and Jesse with their mothers after the last class in late June. Both Jesse and Piper have continued on in the "puppy 2" class, which will be over in a couple of weeks, and especially if Michelle and I don't continue on with classes, we very much want the girls to get together now and then for sister playtimes. They are so cute together!

I am so blessed! My little Piper is an absolute sweetie, so precious. She is becoming more and more cuddly and affectionate, very much as my Chelsea was, and I just love it when she plops herself down next to me to nap when I'm on the couch or lays over my feet when I'm at the computer. She loves the outdoors, and she is just beside herself with excitement whenever we see people on our walks, and I'm sure her enthusiastic greeting must make them feel like the most important people in the world. Piper has grown very fast. She is trim and has the longest legs and weighed in at 17.6 pounds last Monday. When she stands on her hind legs, she can now put her front paws above my kitchen counter top, which is 36 inches high. She gets up on on her back legs a lot -- my sister and I think she really wants to walk as we do!

I've attached 3 photos -- the first of Piper at four months, the second, at five months, and the third, of her getting a ball out of her little puppy pool.

Sue, I love my little girl more and more each day, and when I recall how the Lord ordered everything out so that she came to live with me, I am ever so thankful. And I am so very grateful for your instrumental role in all of it.

I hope you are having a blessed summer, and I hope things have maybe been a little less demanding on you, that you have had some time to rest, relax, and enjoy.... And please remember, if you have any prayer requests, I'd be privilieged in joining you in lifting them up to the Most High.

Blessings and love,

Ruth
