More of Twinkle~

Dear Sue:

Here are some pictures of Twinkle that I took earlier today!

I've included a couple with her sisters Lilly (black cocker) and Abigail (Chesapeake Bay Retriever).

I hope you are doing well, and Happy Pumpkin Day!

Twinkle from Minneapolis, MN~

Dear Sue:

Here is a picture that I took of Twinkle a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe how much she has grown!

She is a total "Beauty Queen, and The Glamour Girl"!! What a personality she has! She is very determined and knows exactly what she wants! She wakes me up in the morning with a ton of kisses! What a doll she is! We sure love her! :-)

I'm glad to see that you and Mike got a way to see your son! That must have been a wonderful time!

I have a little package that I'm sending you that I'll try to get in the mail next week.

God bless!

Lovingly,

Rebecca

Chloe from Hawthorne, New York~

Hi Sue,
It's been a long time since I sent an update on Chloe...can't believe she will be 6 months old tomorrow!

She passed all of her vet visits with flying colors and will go in for her surgery in a couple of weeks. She lost a few puppy teeth and her we're just waiting for the rest of the puppy teeth to fall out. Today she was groomed for the second time since we had her and she looks so cute.
Chloe has so much energy and is curious about everything. It's funny when she barks at something new...like when she first saw me cleaning with a swiffer mop.
Anyway, I just wanted to send a quick note to you and your family. I hope all is well with everyone.
Happy Halloween and puppy kisses from Chloe!

Love and Best Wishes,

Maria, John and Chloe

Shane of Oyster Bay, NY

Hi Susan:

Congratulations on your son David's Graduation!

I cannot imagine what he had to go through to achieve such a high Honor.

As I look at the photos it makes me proud to be an American!

I can see the family resemblence in the photos too.

Here is a short video clip of Shane from my youtube channel, taken today.

Shane is 10 months old now, and will be 1 year on Christmas day.

What a wonderful year it has been! Shane is my best buddy, and so enthusiastic about everything!

Shane is a High Calling Cocker, and I remember very vividly the day we first met.

Here he is catching a hackeysack ball. His reflexes are so quick.

Thank you Susan Martin for Shane!, such a beautiful and loving member of the family!

David's Army Ranger Graduation~

The Army Rangers are a very select group of young men who have undergone a very grueling three months of training in all phases of infantry leadership, including the Darby Phase, the Mountain Phase, and the Florida Swamp Phase.  Only 1 in 4 soldiers graduate from this course of training.  Thank God for taking care of my son and helping him get through this.

Our trip to Fort Benning, Georgia~

Well, we are back from our trip down South.  What a wonderful time we had, and traveled through New York, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina,Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and then back home to New York. We made it all the way down to Savannah.  We saw David graduate from Army Ranger School, ...then enjoyed the Infantry Museum at Fort Benning the next day. We drove to Savannah, and drove through the Historic section...and then drove out to Tybee Island and enjoyed the beach and the Atlantic Ocean for a short time before heading back North.  I can't believe the beautiful foliage we saw....truly breathtaking scenery!!  We made the trip home from Savannah in one day, with David behind the wheel.  That was a tad scary, watching him take those Pennsylvania turns in the dark at that speed.  So I layed down and tried to sleep.  Needless to say, the trip has taken its toll on me.
I'm exhausted.  But it was worth it.  Next time I'm flying.  LOL
Here are some pictures of the highlights of our trip.

David at his apartment complex, a "gated" community.

Holly from the Adirondack Mtns, New York~

Holly  has such a heavy coat that her mommy had her all shaved down to make their lives a lot easier.
She needed this coat because somebody clipped hers off!  LOL

Holly is now one year old - and for her birthday her Aunt Judi ( the gal responsible for me deciding to get a puppy again ) made her this wonderful felted wool puppy sweater with vintage buttons - Isn't she such a cutie in it - and it's perfect for brisk fall walks when we have to wear red because of hunting season. Drummer from Grand Junction, Colorado~

Hi, Sue!
I've been meaning to write for a long time.
We are having so much fun with Drummer! He was 1 year old on October 14th and

we celebrated with a trip to the vet's office! Dr. Coons was very impressed

with him and said that he has a beautiful coat and was a very healthy boy. He

weighed in at 28 pounds - which Dr. Coons said is the perfect weight for him.

Drummer wasn't too happy to have his ears checked, but he tolerated it. He's

one strong and healthy boy!
Drummer did get to enjoy a new toy for his birthday. It's this wacky monkey

that you can stuff a tennis ball inside. He works like crazy trying to get the

tennis ball out! He succeeded one time, but I stuck it back in and he started

all over again with it! How he loves his tennis balls!

It has finally cooled off. We had very mild weather up until yesterday. We had

our first freeze last night. It hadn't even been CLOSE to freezing. It

normally freezes at the beginning of October, so this was unusually late (but

not a record - I think that the latest first freeze was November 6th). Drummer

is loving the colder weather. He was getting tired of the hot stuff. So was I!

I knew that it was going to get cold, so I finally pulled all of my annuals on

Sunday. I was getting really tired of watering them! LOL! I've never had to do

it so late in the year, but I didn't have the heart to pull them until I knew

that it was going to freeze. Now I'm glad that it's done.

Well, I need to run for now. I've attached a couple of pictures for you. One

is of Drummer checking out his new monkey-toy and the other is more of a posed

shot (he looks like quite the fluffball!). I'm praying for homes for all of

your little ones on the website. They're all so precious!
Thanks for such a wonderful cocker! I can't imagine life without him!

Our son, David~

Great news!  Our son, David called last night to let us know he passed Ranger School!  Praise God!  Only 25%....one in four soldiers...pass on the first time through.  What a blessing! We will be driving to Fort Benning, Georgia this week to see him graduate.  Please pray for us as we travel.

Happy Birthday Aspen from Sparks, Nevada~

Good Morning Susan,

Well Aspen turned one today. She is such a wonderful dog! She went to the Vet for her one year check up on Monday and she came through with flying colors and received her last short haircut for the season. She weighs almost 20lbs now and had gotten some long legs. Wish all her litter mates happy birthday for us too.
We celebrated her birthday today at work and everyone sang to her. She loved her doggie ice cream for breakfast.
Congratulations on all the new additions to the High Calling family. They are all so adorable.
Hope you enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful day!!!!
Love,
Valeri & Aspen
