Just a reminder~ :")

Yup!  It's that time of year again!  In fact, if you haven't done it already, you're a couple of days late!  I was a day late myself this year!   And just what am I referring to????   It's time to put your Christmas cactus in the dark until December 1st so it will set bud and have beautiful flowers for Christmas! 

I treated myself and bought a second cactus yesterday at the grocery store.  It was covered in peach colored buds.  I have heard that shade called "Thanksgiving Cacti" before.  Anyway...what I did with my Christmas cactus, I gave it a good drink, and then stuck it in a black plastic bag, and put it in my cellar.  I will bring "her" back out on December 1st.  I think I might name her "Miss Lydia".  According to this article, they like to have names.  LOL   http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf172932.tip.html   Enjoy your cactus, or, if you have more than one, "cacti".   :")
