Shane from Oyster Bay, New York~

Hi Susan:
I just wanted to let you know that Shane is doing great!
He had his first visit to the Vet on Friday. It is right down the street and couldn't be easier. Everybody loved Shane. He was given an extra distemper shot, and a daily vitamin.
My mother and I both agree that he is just a baby still, and even the vet said that it is a good idea to keep him away from public dog walks and contact with other dogs until he is a little older.
Shane is very affectionate, and a very good boy. He is learning to go outside, and I have treats for every time he goes. he is catching on fast and has made amazing progress in one week.
But as I say, we are not going to rush him because he is a baby.
Here are a couple pics. Of me and Grandma with Shane. I will get better ones. It is hard to catch Shane standing still for a picture. One is of Shane with one of the rawhide chewy sticks I mentioned. (His eyes reflect as blue in some pics)

His appetite is very good. He plays in the morning. Naps. Plays some more until lunch. Naps some more. Plays. etc.
His is napping now, and will be up a little before bed. I get up with him around 3AM to walk him in the back. Then he sleeps again. So Cozy!
I and Everybody here really loves Shane, and I can't say thank you enough for such a wonderful little Buddy.

Sincerely,

John
