Holly from the Adirondack Mts., NY~
Dear Sue,
I am SO PROUD of my puppy. She slept the whole night last night without so much as a peep!
I was so worried about her - Terry checked on her twice and she just watched him
in the kitchen getting his medication .... without so much as a whimper .
She started out in the wire kennel - exhausted from romping and galloping around the living room with her toys and
Momma - then about 10 pm she woke crying....I put her in her little play yard in the kitchen and she curled
up on her pillow and went to sleep and didn't fuss all night. I finally went out and woke her up at 5 am this morning
and she just wiggled all over with delight .
She cuddled for a few minutes - had some breakfast - went outside and peed and when we went to the door she
didn't want to come in - she went to the far end of the fenced in area where she has designated as a pooping place and
she finished the job - and then bounded back to the door - ears a flapping - knowing she made me so proud!
She scurried around the dining room with a paper towel tube while I made cookie dough this morning and has since been carrying it all around the house.
As of this morning she began lessons in learning to "speak" and she spoke on command several times ( of course me holding a tiny little bit
of puppy cookie helped - Milk Bone for pups - and I break one biscuit into 8 pieces and she loves the treat ) but I believe she is so brilliant..
I cannot believe she just slept all night - and then this morning
with her toilet outside - she KNEW she wasn't finished and didn't come back in until she had done the whole job!
Holly has just decided the little bed I put in my office is indeed a comfortable place to hang out while I'm on the computer
and she's become so accustomed to the camera I swear she actually posed for a picture! I'll send it cause she' is just cuter by the minute!
We love her so much Sue - she is just a beautiful little girl - and so brilliant!
