Note from Mama Sue~

I hope you all enjoying Advent, and are having a great time preparing for the holidays! It is so wonderful to remember the birth of our beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He came as a little babe to a young girl..a virgin... in Bethlehem, ...born to die...to save us from our sins. We have so much to be grateful for!

I know many of you are going through heartache, and many through physical challenges. Please know that I keep you in my prayers, close to my heart.

There are a few things you need to know. First, my computer is located upstairs, and I don't come up here very often. It's on this main computer that I make changes to my website and put pictures on the blog. So that's one reason I may be late getting your precious pictures updated onto the blog.

Secondly, I have had my AOL account for years and years and years. Consequently, I get a LOT of spam emails that come into my primary folder and don't go to the spam folder. There are so many of these emails (hundreds and hundreds) that I might accidentally miss something from one of my dear High Calling Cocker family members. If you sent me an email and didn't see the pictures put on the blog, would you kindly tell me so I can look for that email??? Please don't EVER think I deliberately didn't put your pictures on the blog.

It would help if you would update my email address in your computer. That way I might not miss your emails. My newest email address is MrsSusanMartin777@gmail.com

If you think of me and my hubby, please keep us in your prayers, as I will you. Also, if you have specific prayer requests, please let me know, and I will pray for you.

Much love for a blessed Advent season,

Mama Sue

"Miss Natasha" and "Mr. Stitch" from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida~

Hello Sue,

Hope all is well with you and your family. We are all doing fine - still in Maine, but hoping to head to Florida later this week. Lou has recovered nicely from his surgery.

Natasha is now two, and is still the Princess of the house. Today, we had some snow, and Natasha and Stitch decided to investigate. Stitch thought it was something to eat, and Natasha wasn’t sure she should be getting her delicate feet wet. Then, they decided it was fun to play in:

Thanksgiving 2013

I know I'm a day late, but I choose to be thankful for the blessings of God each and every day. We had a lovely day with our family who live down here in the Carolina's. Also, our three Army sons were here to help us celebrate. Much love all the way around! Good food and fellowship. God is good and we thank Him for all his blessings and provision to us and our family. Thank YOU LORD!

I want to wish you all in my High Calling Cocker family the best of the holiday season! I hope your Thanksgiving was as special as mine was and that your Christmas and New Year will be glorious!

Much love,

Sue

"Mr. Cooper" from Quincy, Massachusetts~

Hi Mama Sue,

It's me, Cooper, writing to tell you I'm in the "Dog House" big time.
As you might expect being a High Calling Cocker, my nose works
quite well as I sniff out treats, toys, food, etc. Well Mama Sue, the
other night my nose led me into the kitchen where the most wonderful
smell was coming from; it was called Beef Stroganoff; and this is
where my troubles begin...

My Mom had called everyone to dinner (naturally, I thought that
included me as well) so when I came into the kitchen, I jumped
up on Mom's chair and went head first into the Beef Stroganoff.
I was enjoying myself immensely, until Mom turned around and
saw me; needless to say my fun ended abruptly.

There I was Mama Sue, with beef noodles hanging out of my
mouth; and the entire family, including Emily, just staring at me.
To make a long story short, I didn't get my nightly treat; but I really
didn't mind so much as I found the Beef Stroganoff to be very
filling.

My first year of "puppy-hood" ends next week, on the 27th of
November to be exact. I'm guessing I had better get my "act
together" so I'll be ready for a birthday cake and presents.

I'll say good-bye for now and I will try and be good, but
sometimes, it's not all that easy!

Love,

Cooper

"Mr. Lincoln" from West Chester, Pennsylvania~

Hi Sue!
We hope you and Mr Martin are doing well! Just a quick note to tell you that
Mr Lincoln is such a joy! We are crazy about him! Even our oldest, Ashley,
who was never quite a Dog lover ... Is smitten! We actually have to both sit
on the sofa together so that we can share Lincoln! * only Cocker Lovers
understand that! Lol. I pray that our awesome God is blessing you with peace
and a new joy as you have impacted so many lives through your Cockers! I've
read through your blog and everyone feels the same about their dogs... What a
great breed ... And what a talented breeder you have been! Thank you Sue!

"Rex" and "Miss HoneyBee"~

HoneyBee

Rex
Hi Sue I was just looking at your web page after not checking it out for awhile and saw that you will no longer be breeding your cocker spaniels. I'm very sorry to hear that your husband is not well. I'm also very sad to hear you will not be breeding your pups anymore. My husband and I bought Rex and Honeybee from you about a year and a half ago and I have to tell you they bring such joy to our family. Since they arrived to us they have had the sweetest dispositions and are such little loves. Here is a picture of Honeybee hiking with me. She is a little bundle of energy and loves to be out in the hills with me. Rex is so sweet and affectionate he makes friends everywhere he goes. Again, I'm sorry for how things are going right now, I hope your husband gets better soon.

"Aspen" and "Murphy" from Sparks, Nevada~

Hello Sue,

I do hope you are enjoying your new home. Thank you again for Aspen and Murphy. Murphy has been a wonderful addition. She has soooo much personality and a little love bug when she wants to be. She and Aspen are the best of friends now. Murphy kisses Aspen, but doesn’t kiss anyone else. LOL. They both love to lay in the warm laundry and their tails never stop wagging. They are just such happy dogs. Well I miss watching all the puppies. But the blog keeps me pretty satisfied. Sorry for not contacting you sooner, but it has been a very busy Summer. Also, Murphy has been a great addition to the office with Aspen. They come every day and gets lots of loving here too!!!!! Have a blessed Holiday Season and I hope you enjoy being close to your family.

Love,

Valeri, Aspen & Murphy
