More pics of Bethany and Tiffany~

"Miss Bethany Willow" and "Miss Tiffany Rose" from Tuckaseegee, North Carolina~

Sue it breaks my heart that you both are having medical problems. Bethany Willow and Tiffany Rose (Ladybug's sister) are doing well. I pray for all of you and all your family. You have brought joy to me with Bella, we became a registered therapy dog team and could respond nationally. Then We came to Buffalo for Bethany Willow who is now seven. Tears fill my eyes knowing the love you have for cockers and Ladybug. Through you I HAVE joy with my girls.

"Miss Bailey-Glory" from Buffalo, New York~

Dearest Sue! I can't believe Bailey and her brothers and sisters are five years old today! Where has the time gone?! Two weeks ago I took her and Curley on a dream vacation. My brother-in-law is retiring from the Army after 24 years of service and his final posting is in Savannah. Being a huge Gone With the Wind fan, it's always been on my "must see" list. We left Buffalo on the 6th in the pouring rain and it took almost seven hours for us to finally see the sun when we reached Beckley, WV. The kids were made for hotel living! They definitely made themselves at home and in the morning we hit the road once more. The highlight of the drive South was seeing a truck that looked exactly like Optimus Prime from Transformers on Rte 77 in VA! Savannah was everything I thought it would be! They took me to the light house on Tybee Island and to Jeckyll Island and on our final day, into downtown Savannah and on the Riverwalk. The parks and architecture were incredible. My favorite was probably Saint John the Baptist Cathedral. The organ in back! It made me think of you, of course! That Thursday morning we set out on the rest of our Adventure. The next four days would be spent driving New Found Gap Road through Great Smoky National Park to Pigeon Forge and back to Cherokee, NC, the entire length of The Blue Ridge Parkway, where we hiked some of the Appalachian Trail, and Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. It was all breathtaking and we loved every bit of it! Our final night was the most interesting. Finding hotels that accept furry kids wasn't always easy, particularly on the Parkway. The best rated in Middletown,VA, where Shenandoah begins/ends (depending on which way you're heading), turned out to be a B & B called The Wayside Inn. It was built in the 1700's and is in the heart of Civil War territory. It wasn't until the night before we were due to stay there that I found out it's ranked as one of the 10 most haunted hotels in the country! When I arrived-I found out we were their only guests for the evening! George, one of the owners, was going to stay there with us in case anything happened. Curley immediately fell asleep, so Bailey and I headed out on a walk, where stumbled across a war memorial honoring the town's vets and fallen. When we returned, I heard strange music playing, like I imagine would have been playing during that time period. Our window had four large wooden shutters on them on the inside. When I went to sleep they were flush against the wall and when I woke up, one of them was at a 90 degree angle! It was quite the way to wrap up our trip! I think our next vacation back to our cottage in NH next month will be a lot more relaxing! I hope all is well with you and your family and on this Memorial Day Weekend, please pass on my gratitude to Mike and all your children who have sacrificed to serve our country.

Love,

Sarah & Bailey Glory

"Miss Sunny" and "Miss Molly" from Vestal, New York~

Sue,

Just a chance that you still have this e-mail address. Thought you would like to know that the two girls we adopted from you in 2011 (Sunny and Molly) are providing us with extreme pleasure. Hard to believe that they will be 6 in August! Molly’s tail goes all the time! Sunny (with her coat on) is a little more subdued, but loves to roll on her back to have her tummy rubbed!

Hope this finds you in good health, and enjoying the summer.

Regards,

David and Lynn

"Miss Millie"~ Pittsfield, Massachusetts from Jan 2, 2017

Millie - Queen of the Neighborhood
Millie relaxing on the porch.
Here is Millie when Santa was on vacation.

Hi Susan: Happy New Year to one and all. Little Miss Millie is well known around the neighborhood. She has to meet everyone on our walks or if there is work being done on the street she has to meet the workers and traffic police. Millie is more known than Kathy and I. When I went and voted the person at the check-out station said " I didn't recognize you without your little dog." I will attach one picture per e-mail. This picture is her favorite sleeping position The tongue sticking out all the time.

"Shane" from Oyster Bay.....5/5/2010

HI Susan:

As Shane grows, he is starting to get the cutest smile. I call it a Cocker smile.
Here is a pic, although a little blurry. (Please Don't feel you have to post everything I send.)

But all of us here are so very happy with Shane (Oliver), and I think we all grin all day thinking about each other.
I walk Shane each evening at the local ballfield, and he is so happy running around the bases, outfield. The grass. He loves chasing balls.
I keep him on a leash at all times. It extends to almost 40 ft. Shane doesn't know the difference. When there is slack, we sometimes run alongside--ahead--behind, if you get the picture.
All the while with a pocketful of "treats" or "Cookies".
Shane knows both words now. He is very smart.
In fact, he will pick up his leash and shake it if he has to go out.

Housekeeping...online, that is! LOL

Hello to all my High Calling Cocker Family!

Thanks for stopping by to check on things today!   I hope you are all well, and that your furry friends are well too and are still bringing you much joy.

I have been having a lot of problems with my cell phone, and am trying to delete things to free up some storage.   Consequently, I am finding emails that were never posted to the blog.  So please be understanding and have patience with me.  Most of you know about our medical issues and realize that I can't get everything posted to the blog in a timely manner......and if I don't, many times they get buried in "old mail" and lost to my poor brain.  LOL  So bear with me while I clean out my files and find things you may have sent even years ago.   If this pertains to you, please accept my apologies.  Always feel free to remind me to post your pictures when you don't see them on here.  You can always type your cocker's name in the search bar in the top left to view all your posts.  Thank you for your understanding and have a blessed new summer's day!
