"Miss Sasha" from Toronto, Ontario, Canada~

Hi Susan - just checking in from Canada to say 'hi'. Ron & I are hoping that you and Mike are doing well in your new home in the sunny south. We also hope that both of you are healthier and enjoying life. Sasha is now 20 months and has become such a sweet loving girl. Not a day goes by that we don't thank you for entrusting her to us. She really is a little love machine. And gorgeous (like all the High Calling pups!). Sasha loves to cuddle. She also loves her toys - fetching every one of them by name. Thank you again for the opportunity to share life with this very special being. Pat & Ron

Always remember~

Let us pause to remember those lives lost on September 11, 2001. May the good Lord continue to comfort the families affected that day and may He bring peace in our time. God bless America!

Dearest Sue! How are you doing? Are you enjoying your new home? I saw Katie's wedding pictures and the boy's homecoming and graduation. It's been a very busy summer for you! How is Mike doing? I missed sending anniversary greetings in August. It was your 46th, right? I hope that you were able to do something special. Glenn and I celebrated our 30th weddinganniversary in July. We did a few special things through the week - nothing pricey (at least not from OUR pocket - meaning we had gift certificates!). We also managed to get hold of a tape recorder so that we could play the cassette from our wedding. THAT was fun! You could hear the crumple and silence that followed when one of the groomsmen fainted! Ah, memories. Before the service we had a special group at our church perform the songs from the Praise 5 album (remember those?). They had such beautiful harmony and it was a treat to listen to it again. It's been a busy summer - especially lately. We've been cutting dead limbs out of our dead maple tree (the whole thing is going to come down next week). I also got back into canning and have been putting up peaches, corn, and relish (so far). The pears are ripening on the counter and I'll be doing those on Saturday. Drummer is doing well and enjoying being lazy through the summer. It's been hot and we've had to deal with humidity lately (something that's not very common here). I've attached a couple of pictures for you. One is of Drummer on our fire pit table (he got up there to get his purple ball - it's behind him - and he decided to lie down instead) and the other is right after I finished brushing him one morning (his coat looked so gorgeous). Just wanted to touch base with you. I may not write as much as I used to, but you are often in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks SO MUCH for such a wonderful dog! We love him to pieces! God Bless and Big Hugs! Mary :o)
