Archie's Thanksgiving from Fleetwood, PA

Hi Mama Sue,
We just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, better late than never!! After the death of our cocker spaniel in March of this year, we have been so very thankful that the Lord sent Archie to fill our hearts once again with the love of a dog.

Included are photos of Archie from about 3 weeks ago as he chewed the ear off of the toy that you had sent with him as a baby.

Tomorrow night, Archie will join the other 3 dogs in his dog training class as we go on a field trip to the local Cabella's! He did very well 2 weeks ago as the class went to a local mall and walked through the Barnes and Noble, Ulta, Office Depot, and Dick's Sporting Good Store. He wears a vest that tells folks not to pet the dogs as they are working. We are so proud of him and you can be as well. We just love him to pieces!
Happy Advent Season as we prepare for the Birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
Praise Be The Lord!

Sunny from Laconia, New Hampshire~

I was so very pleased to meet Mike and Robin in Syracuse yesterday to help get Sunny to their waiting arms. Sunny has a wonderful new home with a great new Mommy and Daddy!!

Finnegan from Ellijay, Georgia~

Grammy Sue,

Finnegan says Hi. He slept all night. Was ready for a trip outside to do his business at 5:30am. We are so proud of how well he is following our other cocker "his big brother Louie" He has pooped out side every time. The only accidents have been tinkles and we have seen all of them to quickly clean them up and help him know not to go inside. He and Louie have been busy playing all day in between nap time. He is thriving wonderfully loves his food fixed just like you said.

Bella from Tuckasegee, North Carolina~

Sue,

Thank you, your prayers mean so much to us!

I took Bella to visit Mom this morning and we made our "rounds" at the Nursing Center. So many people tell me Bella is the best looking cocker they've seen in a long time and they ask me where I got her. Needless to say I tell them! :) There are several new nurses working at the facility and this was the first time they met Bella. Let me say they were extremely IMPRESSED!! Everyone thinks of her as a therapy dog even if she isn't certified. One nurse told me Bella is the best at her job and knows exactly what to do. All this is a huge compliment to you as a breeder and at setting the stage for early socialization.

I can't thank you enough for this precious little girl. I've already told Bella she's going to have a sister sometime next year. Of course we know that's in God's hands. But I'm hoping one of the upcoming litters will arrive around March, April or anytime during the summer. You'll let me know if one of your dear ladies is scheduled to deliver around that time.

Tons of hugs and puppy kisses,
Cherrie' and Bella

Libby from Lewiston, New York~

Hi Mommy Sue,
Just a short e mail to let you know everything is going great at my new house. I met my kitty friends after you left and everyone welcomed me into the the household. I have been finding Bobs toys that my new mom kept and it has been fun, even the kitty toys are pretty fun. So far going outside is pretty hit or miss but I do love chasing the leaves in the yard. I miss my mommy and litter mates, but I have new friends and a whole new adventure ahead of me. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

Love and puppy kisses

Sparky from Illinois~

Hello Mama Sue,

This is Sparky, I want to tell you to have a Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday, and also all my High Calling Cockers' Family.
You know Mama Sue, I will be having my second Thanksgiving here in Illinois. If it is o.k. with you, I believe I will stay here. It is really nice here, and I have Endless Amounts of Love, but I will always be thankful for all the love and care you gave to me at your home. I am pretty sure taking care of all of us puppies is not easy, but it sure makes us into precious puppies, for when we go to our forever homes.
Oh, my Mommy got my scrapbook finished. I wish you could see it. The book is really big with all the E-Mails and pictures in it. Mommy even wrote a story about me and put it in there. It is a pretty blue, just like the little ribbon you put on me when I was a little baby. She wants to add a picture of you and Mike, that would add the final touch.
I will talk to you later, and always remember I Love you with all my doggy heart.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving,
Love,
Sparky

Bonny Wee Lass & Betsy (Kathleen Mavourneen)~

Dear Momma Sue,

My daddy Syd says we are comin' to see yous and that guy Mike. I can't wait to give you a big Bonny kiss! Does you know what a sister is Momma Sue? Cause my dad says I'm gonna get one.

He says I need a playmate at our house....what's a playmate, uh? Will I like this sister? Am I gonna have ta share my bestest toys? I don't know if I like comin' to get this thing called sister, but if yous are there, maybe I will like it after all.

Momma Sharon says this sister thingy is called a Betsy, and I will have fun playing with her, just like I am learning to like that puppy girl next door to me.....her name is Jasmine, but her folks call her Jazzy. She comes over ta my house and taps her paws on the door to make me come and look at her......my daddy says she wants me to come out to play. When we do be outdoors together we have some fun!

So, maybe this sister your sendin' home with us won't be too bad.......but if I don't like `er can I send `er back? Will I still be yous peanut? I guess if I am, I can like this sister to play with, she just better not try to take my Binky unless I says its okay!

Anyway, I am waggin' my tail and smilin' thinkin' of seein' you again. I guess I will be pretty excited uh?
I love you....bye, bye,
Bonny Wee Lass (Peanut)

Holly's New Mommy & Daddy, Adirondacks, NY

Dear Susan,

This is in our cellar and was taken for a wine society picture a few years ago as Terry is a founding member and we needed a press photo. Terry at one time, was one of the world's leading wine writers...he was the first NY Times wine columnist and actually authored the NY Times Book of Wines. ( He's written five
wine books in his life time ) He also was the first wine writer for Gourmet magazine, a columnist for Wine Spectator and editor of Wine Enthusiast Magazine- and the business has been very good to him as he's seen the world over. He has been a judge for the Mondial - World Wine Tasting Competition in Belgium and France
many times. I am very proud of him and his accomplishments.

These days he no longer writes like he use to, and it is difficult to stay on top of rapidly changing technology .
He is slowing down after spending decades traveling in a high profile position. I do the writing in the family now - I've written two books
on celluloid plastics and am currently working on the research for a third book on the oldest theme park in the nation.
I'm also a columnist for a regional newspaper and I write for AntiqueWeek newspaper as well. So - we are writers mostly, but I am also a musician and an antique dealer. Life is good - and busy!

I just wanted to show you our home and introduce ourselves to you so you are a little more familiar with us.

Holly Amber's future home, Adirondack Mtns, New York~

Dear Susan,

This is Holly's future home.
We call it Fallingneedles Chalet because we
don't have grass - we have a russet blanket of pine
needles instead. In the fall - it rains pine needles when
leaves are falling from the trees. It's beautiful, we love
it and we are eager to welcome Holly here.

Bella from Tuckasegee, North Carolina~

Hi Mamma Sue,

It's me, "Princess" Bella! Don't you just love my pose! My Mom took me to this neat place where they make pictures. At first I didn't understand what was going on, then suddenly, I got it! All I had to do was watch Mom, listen to her commands and have fun being me. Wow! It was great. I hope we can do that again. I even met some other Cocker Spaniels. They barked at me but I didn't bark back...I ignored them! Later I met them one at a time and they were friendly.

Let's see, I love to visit my Grammy at the Nursing Center. I really miss her and so does Mom but we see her almost every day. There are so many people there and they all love me! I get loads of petting and treats from the Nurses, then the residents pet me and tell me how pretty I am! Sometimes Mom tells me I'm getting spoiled. I'm not sure what that means but if it means lots of belly rubs and special treats then I'm all for it!

I'd better go for now Mamma Sue but I want to tell you I have a wonderful home with tons of special people all around! Give my Mom, Daisy and Daddy Cubby a big hug from me.

Tail wagging happy thoughts,
Bella "Princess Bella"

Angel Face from Lockport, New York~

Happy Birthday to my litter mates, Dolly (Snowflake), Daisy (Joy) and of course, Jingles. Today we are three years old and lovin' it!

Mommy made me scrambled eggs and toast this morning and set my breakfast on a pretty napkin - I even had a candle. It was Sandlewood or something...smelled kinda funny!

Anyway, sister-girls, I love all of you and hope you have an equally wonderful day.

Love and snuggles,

Molly from Fairport, NY~

Hi,
Had to comment on your beautiful new puppies - they're all so gorgeous!!!!!

Three weeks ago I had to put Maddey down - oh how I miss her. However for Molly it has been great. She has really blossomed!!!! She really loves having the run of the whole house now. She's up, she's down - she's all around. She follows my husband wherever he goes, and she has also recently learned to jump up on my bed. She stays for a while, but then if he's still up she'll wander downstairs to see him. She just has the cutest little face and is so lovable. She loves to give kisses. My mom thinks that she is the cleanest dog around because she's always giving herself a bath - and me too!!!

I'm taking her to the groomer again Thanksgiving week so I'll have to send you some updated pictures of my baby.

Elaine's Cactus~

Hi Sue,

After reading about your Cactus I just had to send you a couple of pictures of mine. This is one of four that I have, this one always blossoms at Thanksgiving. The others will only blossom around Christmas and Easter. The Easter one is very different and the flowers close at night I will have to send you a picture of that one. These catus get no special treatment.
All I do is put them on my patio on May 1st and bring them inside the first week of October depending on the weather. During that time period, everytime I water them they get a very lite dose of fertilizer.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I love the plants.

Love Elaine

Archie from Fleetwood, Pennsylvania~

Hi Sue,
Just thought I'd drop you a note to let you know that I am thinking of you. Hoping that all is well in cocker spaniel land! My daughter, Katie and I keep tabs on your website with her reporting to me daily what puppies are still available. We are both so shocked that those gorgeous babies have not been gobbled up. We recommend you to anyone in our area who will listen! We have had nothing but good experiences with Archie, who is now 8 months old! His qualities are wonderful! If you ever need any references, do not hesitate to give out my info! When we look at your website, well we get a warm tingling feeling knowing that God had blessed you with all of these beautiful puppies! It's as if we are all one family!
Well, gotta go, so stay healthy and God Bless!
Love ya,
Kathy & Family...and Archie

Bella's Photo Shoot, Tuckasegee, North Carolina~

Hi Sue,

Bella had a huge photo shoot today! She loved it, once she understood about the "lights and camera." I'll get to pick up her photos on Thursday afternoon and I can't wait!
They couldn't believe how well she handled everything and how well behaved she is in such a strange environment. They also have cockers and she never barked at them (they did at her, but later they met her one at a time). They're more of a golden ash color, very beautiful too!

Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Cherrie and a very tired Bella

Fort Hood, Texas~

Please take a few moments this morning to remember the soldiers killed yesterday at Fort Hood. You all know that the US ARMY holds a special place in my heart, since my son is a Lieutenant in that branch of the service, and my Pastor is an Army Chaplain...a Captain. My heart goes out to the affected families. May the Lord be with them all. Too, too sad.... God bless them all, and God bless America.

Natalie from Monson, Massachusetts~

I love this picture of Kim and Mike with their sweet cocker, Natalie! Although we don't raise the "parti's" anymore, there is a soft spot in my heart for all my past puppies. :") May the good Lord bless them each and every day!!

Natalie from Monson, Massachusetts~

Hi Sue
It has been a while since I wrote to you. I hope you and your family are well. I enjoyed the video on your son and daughter congratulation. I'm sending you Natalie's spring to fall pictures. I hope you enjoy them. She is such a wonderful baby and Mike and Kim love and spoil her everyday. I was lucky to have her twice once for 10 days and then for 5 days when they went on vacation. I'll be leaving for Florida shortly, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday.

Love Elaine
